The Mystic Law

The Mystic Law of Cause and Effect, as predicted by Shakyamuni Buddha, was introduced to the people of Japan by the Buddha of the Latter Day, Nichiren Daishonin.  Nichiren’s means Sun Lotus, and it is in part the reason for why the Sun is in this illustration.  The sun also eludes to Shakyamuni’s prediction that the introduction of the Lotus Sutra would be to the East of India in the Latter Day of the Law, and so it was in 1253.

Shakyamuni Buddha himself said that The Lotus Sutra was and is the Essential Buddhist teaching, and all Sutra’s before this are inferior. He knew that the introducing the Lotus in his day would be premature. The people could begin to understand and accept the inclusion and possibility of enlightenment in their lifetimes of all people regardless of color, social statis, sex, and age.

Our goal is the same as Shakyamuni Buddha, to end suffering, bringing authentic happiness to all resulting in World Peace.  Myoho Renge Kyo is the title of the Lotus Sutra and contain the entirety of the Sutra in these words, thus chanting Nam myoho renge kyo opens the Buddha nature in all.  Nam means devotion. I am devoted to the Mystic Law of Cause and Effect. The beauty of our practice is that we are all equal, we are all the same. When we become enlightened, we are still an ordinary persons living ordinary lives, despite having the ability to see The True Aspect of Life and All Phenomena.
