BUDDHISM

In Buddhism, the Lotus Flower tells the story of the journey to enlightenment.  It begins life in the muddiest of environs: at the bottoms of a pond.   There are many obstables encountered as the Lotus struggles towards the Light.  When it burst trough through the surface of the pond, opening and shedding the past it blooms and seed at the same time: symbolizing cause and effect. It is breathtaking, pristine, Enlightened.
