Why Earth and World Peace Exists

I'm 77 years old, and I've been fighting for our planet since the late 1960s when Earth Day was born. I watched scientists predict exactly what would happen with global warming, as they called it in those days. Rising temperatures, extreme weather conditions. Endangered Species Lists increasing exponentially, melting ice caps.

And for decades, I watched people ignore them. Everything that scientists warned us about is manifesting now, or at least people are seeing it and feeling it: the disastrous weather events, plastic choking our oceans and all forms of wildlife, and the loss of another sentient being, gone for good. Our planet is crying out for help.

But, finally, people are starting to pay attention, in part because young people recognize that their future is at stake. Action is urgent now. I've prayed for this moment of awakening for so long.
