Cheetah Up CloseTote
In General: Today protection of animals, and habitats, against trophy hunters, encroachment, etc. requires human intervention. When humans start asking questions like, what's best for the animals, how can a growing population of human beings moving into what's left of a natural habitats without destroying it, and how can human beings and wild animals live together? Each place that I have research who face these issues find a solution that works for them given what animal they're dealing with, if people or their livestock are endangered, they work on other ways of making it work. Sad thing is that animals are loosing their homes, and many are endangered as a result. In the past, when we moved into area that had predators, we killed them off, habitats that offered a great place to live fore many declined. Check out Wolves Restore Yellowstone, a Yellowstone Production is best. Wolves a keystone animal." Huge numbers of ungulates (hoofed plant eaters), live on the African Savannahs. Wildebeasts, Elephants, and springbok, for example, would over eat the grassland of the Savvanahs if big cats didn't move them along. As the animals move along, they fertilize and plant seeds when their poop. They make holes(footprints) that capture water when it rains, and they cover the seeds as they walk. The savannahs thrive due to predators moving herds across the planes. Allan Savory spent years to understand this process. Go to Ted Talks to hear his story. It involves his being involved in killing 40,000 elephants during the 1950s and 60s, to keep elephants from over eating the Savannah grasslands only to find out that the number of elephants had nothing to do with overeating the Savannahs. He loves Elephants and killing them broke his heart. As a result, he spent his life trying to understand why habitats are destroyed, and how habitats they can be restored The result of his work could save us from Global Warming, but we cannot wait. So check out his talk on Ted and spread the word. If you learned this here, I'd be very happy if you'd buy something you like to pass on whatever you'd want to, from Endangered Spiecies to Diversity. With regard to Cheetahs. Unless someone finds several Cheetah frozen tens of thousands of years ago and collect the DNA, they are doomed. So sad to say. This due to their not having any genetic viability. In other words, the worldwide population of Cheetahs are so closely related to each other, that they give birth to very few kittens that can survive. I include the Cheetah because they are endangered, but there is nothing we can do to save them. I included them so that people value these animals and treat them well, allowing them to live their lives without humans who Trophy hunt. Treat them with respect they deserve. Let them live and watch them run. They are magnificent.and allow them to live as long a ordinarily would. Do not hunt them for any reason. Enjoy their beauty, watching them run. They are magnificent. If you'd like to know more about these beautiful graceful animals, go to NRDC.org. The Natural Resources Defense Council. You can donate on their site. Please help
