The Great Divide Print
The Great Divide: 2012 I mention the date because when thinking about this image today, the meaning could be played with a lot. Since my intention when creating a piece is about connection, the opposite, disconnection is also addressed. To begin with, Purple and yellow are complements. In order to balance them one needs small amount of yellow and lots of purple. In The Great Divide there is no balance. Yellow takes. Today and the political conditions in the US. Imagine the yellow representing the Republicans, and purple the Democrats. My imagination made up all kinds of scenarios. What do you think?
