Cheetah Let's Get Real

For animals needing a large amount of territory to roam, the loss of habitat, is in part responsible for the Cheetah loosing its footing for survival, Poaching and Target Hunting will speed up their extinction, because the Cheetah has a more serious problem than other big cats. Having survived two earlier extinction episodes, the Cheetah's variability of their Gene Pool has been diminished such that all offspring are either dead or deformed. If we were to find Cheetah DNA buried and frozen as a result of earlier extinctions cycles there might be a chance to save them. So keep those living as long as possible, collect and store their DNA too just in the case DNA is found that will increase the gene pool. For now, no more hunting of any kind. Let's keep learning from the living. Let's keep being able to admire them in the wild. Time is fleeting. Meanwhile, we need to take care of those that are left. I and others will miss the Cheetahs, even though I have never seen one in the wild. These keystone animals are extremely important to the preservation of their habitat. Keystone animals are those animals that keep their habitats thriving just by the nature of who they are and, hence, the positive benefits they bring to their habitat that makes it thrive. Seventy percent of the animals living 50 years ago are extinct. The cause? People are responsible for this 6th extintion. Even though life coming and going is natural, and nature does fills in the gaps always testing what work and what doesn't work. Life is always evolving. I can accept natural causes such as worldwide life changing results from a meteor hitting the earth or from a super volcanic eruption, but I have difficulty with the slow death of our planet's inhabitants due to human involvement. We didn't plan this, but when one's destruction of the land, air and water was recognized, they originally didn't regulate, nor did they want to. It costs money. Now, the wealthy don't want to regulate because of greed, and so they plan on dismantling everything good that we've done to make things safe, cleaner. Greed and Arrogance now the rule. Over population and over exploitation and pollution equals what? Yes,over time the earth will heal, but may not be a friendly place to live for what? In the past, Dinosaurs ruled. Massive natural disaster occurs. Mammals come of age. Well, I think Human have failed and need to be replaced. Sorry. What will replace all that is now written for who to read? We can do better. Lets, and let's fight for fixing what we can.
