Bob Siebenberg were friends.  I haven't seen him in a very long time.  He was one of my husbands best friends back in the day.  They played together in an LA band called Benbecula (sp?) before Bobby went to England and ended up in Supertramp.  He is my favorite drum.  My X-husband doesn't remember this, but we called this playing stumble drums. He loved and was influenced by B.J. Wilson of Procol Harem fame (Whiter Shade of Pale: big hit).  I painted Bobby playing the drums in the song Dreamer on Crime of the Century Album.  Perhaps you'll be able to figure out why we called Bobby's style as Stumble Drums if you take my advice and listen to Dreamer.  For me, the drums in Dreamer are the most musical and beautiful drumming I've ever heard.   I wish I could air drum.  One of the reaons for this is due to subtle moments, A symbol  accents a moment, and then silence at the exact right moment.  Clean, soft, bold, dynamic and never over done.  Thank you Bobby.
