What Was and What Wasn't is an image of the original work which is for sale.  This image is about escaping the pain of a breakup, and seeking a new beginning.  I looked into a lot of mirrors and sought answers to my plight by looking at me.  The encompassing black boxes represent being stuck in darkness.  Creating this image and many others helped me to heal.  This is one of my favorite pieces because it speaks vividly about the journies we can all experience when things go awry.  I believe that I will never have to experience this kind of pain again, or if I do, it will not last long.   This, the outcome of walking through dark times and learning the lessons this awakened me to.
